| ART CENTER AUDIT In June 2008, students began to question the priorities of the administration at Art Center College of Design. Many arguments were raised in student forums and internet blogs. Confused and frustrated myself, I chose to conduct research from a neutral resource, “The Peterson’s Guide to Four Year Colleges,” and draw my own conclusions. This following series of five posters are the result of my investigation. |

Erasure, white-out marks and misspellings were all left in. |

| FASHION & TEXTILE MUSEUM The nature of fashion is that it is constantly changing. Therefore, a logo for the Fashion and Textile Museum in London shouldn’t feel characteristic of a specific time or place. Similar to fashion, typography has a fundamental internal structure, but its silhouette can take on many variation. The concept for FTM’s logo was to overlay silhouettes of letter forms representing a breadth of typographic styles; one style is not dominate, they all work together to build a single unique statement. |

| SELF-PORTRAIT IN TYPE The project began by asking several of my friends and acquaintances to write down words they would use to describe me. I then constructed seven large-scale black and white posters from scanning the words and arranging them based on my reaction. The project then expanded into a photographic exploration of process and composition. |
